I recall watching this cartoon called ed, edd n eddy. It was on tv one morning while my nephew was over waiting o the bus he would watch it while he ate his breakfast. I would be in there to make sure he made it to the bus and all that.
But anyway in the cartoon these kids were crazy for these jawbreakers. Like the jawbreakers was the ultimate goal of everything they did in the neighborhood.
So they finally got their jawbreakers around the end of the show. The jawbreakers were huge way bigger than each of their heads. They simply slapped the candies in their mouth and had a huge round bulge in their jaw.
Later that afternoon my wife picked my nephew up from school and stopped by the store to get groceries. She ended up getting my nephew a jawbreaker. He saw them on the tv and I figured that’s where the whole idea even came from.
So he’s in there doing school work I’m helping my wife with dinner. I just so happen to glance at him and he was trying to stick the entire jawbreaker in his mouth. This wasn’t one of those small jawbreakers. This was one of the big white ones that whitened your lips and changed colors in the middle.
Thier huge about the actual size of a baseball. If a kid puts this in their mouth and it somehow gets stuck in their mouth or throat. It will not be a pretty sight at all. Jawbreakers aren’t soft and they don’t dissolve fast.
I’m going to tell you the proper way to eat jawbreakers.
How To Eat A Jawbreaker
No matter the size of a jawbreaker. You should always suck or lick them down to a considerable size over time. The main two reasons I say that is because jawbreakers are not soft candies they are very hard and can break your teeth.
Another reason I say you should you should do this over time. Is because the licking of a jawbreaker will start to aggravate your tongue after a certain period of time.
Most of the time the next day you wake up you will have a raw feeling on your tongue. It feels like you’ve been licking sandpaper all night in your sleep.
You can avoid both of these incidents by doing what I stated above. Just be slow and steady with the jawbreaker until you get it down to a biteable size.
Now that you have that important piece of information. I’m going to give you the last piece below.
How Not To Eat A Jawbreaker
These are a few things you do not want to do when it comes to eating jawbreakers.
Stuff your mouth with small ones. I say with small ones because you aren’t getting one of the big ones in your mouth not to mention two.
Don’t eat upside down
Don’t eat while playing
Don’t play with the candy. I’ve known children to play with their jawbreakers. They often turn them into throwing balls and that’s not good. Getting hit with a jawbreaker can be equivalent to getting stoned. This can lead to extreme injuries.
Don’t throw it in the air and try to catch it in your mouth.
Don’t put a jawbreaker in your mouth and bite down on it instantly. This is a first class dentist way to earn a dentist bill.
These are some of the major things you do not need to do when eating a jawbreaker.
How Many Types OF Jawbreakers Are They
They’re many knock off or homemade versions of jaw-breakers out there. But in general, there are three that you will see 9/10.
Those are the following
Large White Jawbreakers – These are the traditional jaw-breaker versions.
Small Color Jawbreakers – You will usually find these given out around Halloween time. They are a lot smaller than the ones above and don’t take as much effort to get to the center of them. But you should still eat them slow and steady. It’s still a jaw-breaker and should be treated as such.
Jawbreaker Suckers – These are the traditional jawbreakers. They are sometimes a bit smaller than the regular large white ones. They have a sucker stick placed in the bottom of them. Cause if you’ve ever had a traditional jaw-breaker. You know that the white powder that you lick off the top smears and gets all over everything. Your lips, fingers etc. It can get very messy. But the steam helps with this making it where you won’t have to touch the jawbreaker at all and eat it.
Be careful how you eat jawbreakers they are a fun and all. But if not handled properly they can be dangerous in multiple ways. This post is more so for my younger readers than my adults or older teens. But this is sightful information that anyone can use. Feel free to share this post and comment.
